We Have Two Wars & Biya Has Started A Third With A Very Determined People: West Cameroonians And

Reacting to Biya's declaration of war against the anglophone minority, Elie Smith had the following strong message to pass on to Biya and his regime.

Good bye Cameroon and a big thank you to Paul "calamity" Biya

The cover of the state owned Cameroon Tribune, made me to laugh and immediately I started crying. I cried because this noble project called Cameroon is finished. I am a patriotic Cameroonian and unapologetic Anglophone.

We have two wars and Biya has started a third with a very determined people: West Cameroonians and he will fail. Cameroon is in economic crisis, but stupidly he wants to start a war that, negotiations would have long solved. But how can he when he listens to Paul Atanga Nji, Philemon Yang, Laurent Esso or Peter Mafanh Musings?

I love history and sadly it keeps repeating itself. Sadly again, dictators don't learn and powerful nations don't learn as well.

Biya's declaration of war against the Anglophones at the Yaounde international airport looks every inch that of Mobutu against Laurent Desire Kabila's insurgents of AFDL in 1997.

The only things missing were the elegance and eloquence of the late former Zairian dictator that Paul Biya can't compare with. If history were any guide, like Mobutu, his soldiers won't only be defeated, he will be driven away from power.

History also has it that, no matter how powerful an army might be, she can't win over a United people. So, I am not worried, all the 45 thousand plus armed forces of Cameroon might be poured in West Cameroon, they will be defeated. The only solution is genuine dialogue and a return to two states Federation.

May I also inform some naive Francophones and mostly people of the Beti ethnic group who are in reality defending their tribal grip onto power but wrapped under the banner of nationalism that, we all love this country, but the spoiler in chief is called Paul Biya.

His desire to massacre Cameroonians did not start recently. It began way back in 1984,when according to Pierre Ela, in his book: Dossier Noire sur le Cameroun, by ordered the masacre of at least 5 thousand Cameroonians of Greater northern stock. Therefore, continuous arrests and masacre of Anglophone by Paul Biya's army is a late chapter in an old story.

As I rightly noted last time, Cameroon is dead and buried, the tombstone will be revealed next year and it also mark the wish of a minority and lay to rest all what Muna, Foncha, Tabi Egbe, Nzoou Ekangaki,Njua and Ahidjo fought for. As for me , I would not regret. Because, I knew it will happen, but not this soon. Thanks a million, Paul Biya, for you are unknowingly our jushua.

Elie Smith
