Presbyterian Secondary School (PSS) Bafut Set On Fire.

While some think that things are getting back to normal, and that schools are gradually resuming against the wish of the Southern Cameroon's government, we are getting confirmed reports that PSS Bafut had been set on fire.

The night watchman claims that he was tied down by a group of masked men who infiltrated the campus to carry out the act.

This act is coming a few days after the family house of Bar. Agbor Balls back in Manyu County was partly set on fire.

These acts only go a long way to confirm that it is easy to say things are back to normalcy, but difficult to read and decode what is in the minds of a people whose family members have been killed, maimed, abducted, buried in mass graves and many forced to take refuge in neighbouring countries.

In a recent conclave decision, the just formed Southern Cameroons government, headed by H.E. Ayuk Tabe Julius, has prescribed the prerequisites for school resumption, and we at the SCAR.press call on all Southern Cameroonians to fully respect the decision.

We have to remember that, in a recent UNHCR publication, over 5,000 Southern Cameroonians are seeking refuge in Nigeria, while many more are still trapped in the forest. Considering that these children equally have a right yo quality education, and together with the recent statement of Bar. Agbor Balls, we urge that schools remain close till further notice from the government of Ambazonia.
