The work and efforts of the Southern Cameroons Diaspora, and the diplomatic offensive by the interim government is not going in vain, as the United States Congressmen have taken a strong move in favour of the entire Southern Cameroonians.

On October 17, 2017, 24 Members of US Congress have written a letter on behalf of the Cameroon American Council (CAC) and the Cameroon Diaspora of New York demanding a briefing from the UN Security Council on their position regarding the Anglophone Crisis.
They believe a reply from the UN Security Council will shed some light on the many speculations held by the various stakeholders and actors actively involved in the crisis that has rocked the North West and South West.
This letter is coming at the time when we are getting reports that United Kingdom Senators are urging the Queen's administration to account on the situation in Southern Cameroons.

On October 18, 2017 (24 hours after the letter), Inner City Press at the United Nations, asked the Permanent Representative, Nikki Haley, about the letter and she said though the letter has not reached her, she is opened to it.
We thank the US Congressmen for putting the pressure on the UN Security Council through the US permanent Representative.
