Over 5,000 Southern Cameroonian Refugees And Counting In Nigeria; UN Still Silent And Claps For Pres

Following the historical declaration of the independence of Southern Cameroons on October 1st, the number of Southern Cameroonians fleeing the country to seek refuge in the neighboring Nigeria has increased drastically. In the Southern Cameroons border town to Nigeria (Mamfe), the government used excessive force on citizens, carrying out a house to house raid, where they shot every healthy man on the leg to render them incapable of protesting. The military also invaded business places, stealing items and drinks, rendering the people poor.

In an attempt to survive, most of the people from this locality have abandoned their houses and daily business to the military who have made the town a camp for themselves. We are getting reports of over 5,000 Southern Cameroonians who have flee to Nigeria and are currently seeking for refuge.

In a recent report from Amnesty International (copy here>>), while the military blocks medical intervention to most critical cases, others flee the hospitals even before they get better, all because they might be abducted or shot and killed.

Read the following article from Ashu Kingsley....

Amidst the ongoing massacre and genocide perpetrated against Southern Cameroonians by the Biya regime, at least 5,000 Anglophones have crossed boarder into Nigeria to escape systemic killings, mass arrests, torture, brutality and other atrocities now being referred to as Genocide following the uncovering of mass graves in Buea.

The systematic killings by la Republique du Cameroun military and police force has continued unabated since October 2016 with over 300 killed on 1st October 2017 and buried in mass graves in Buea.

"What I saw on the field today made me weep, Southern Cameroonians are suffering here, Children going for days without food after trekking miles from Anglophone Cameroon and sleeping in the Bushes to get into Nigeria"

An official within UNHCR Nigeria office told me on phone.

This is a growing conflict he added. Yesterday alone we register 103 families with over 300 individuals ! Following the declaration of independence by Southern Cameroons Governing council made by the Chairman Sisiku AyukTabe, seeking the restoration of Southern Cameroons Independence. At least 5000 Southern have arrived Nigeria as refugees to escape systemic killings since October 2016. Mostly from Mamfe, Bamenda, Buea, Limbe, Akwaya and Kumbo areas. When will the International community come in for Southern Cameroons to enforce her right to self Determination. More refugees are on the way. Ashu Kingsley, Manyu County, .

We have head and seen the United Nations, at the midst of Southern Cameroons crises remain silent, while thanking and hailing president Biya for "his" help to refugees from the Central African Republic (CAR). President Biya pretentiously tries to solve a problem with our taxpayers monies (and receive praises), while creating even a bigger problem in another country.

We expect the United Nations to stand up to task and meet up with the challenges of the world. UN must learn to prevent tragic situations from happening to the world. They must not encourage barbaric acts, even after being notified several times by organizations of high standing, only to hold press briefings to clap for the same person (s) causing the problems for their assistance.

Many leaders, individuals, and organizations have strongly criticized this world body for their sluggishness and and growing arrears in meeting up with challenges. The former Nigerian president, Goodluck Jonathan, while speaking in Greece at the 15 anniversary of the dialogue of civilization at Rhodes, has openly condemned the United Nations for poorly handling the crises in Southern Cameroons and urge for complete reforms at the UN (Read full article here>>). The United States of America has on October 12, 2017 through her Department of States, officially inform the Director of UNESCO, and organ of the United Nations, of their withdrawal from the organization. While urging for complete reforms, they accused UNESCO of not meeting up with promises and their persistent failure to take timely decisions (full article here>>). This move only confirms that the entire United Nations and all her organs are corrupt and need reforms.
