Court Case Between The Government And Men Of God Re-established.

Who said it was over with the churches? Who told you the case between the Cameroon government (complainant) and the priest (Defendant) which was established by the former was aborted? This news came in earlier this month as the presiding magistrate after several months months, found it as a No Case Matter and terminated the procedure. This was received with joy by the population, especially the Christians, including myself.
However, the recent happenings in Churches today only give us the impression that the government only changed the procedure to prosecute the Church. The government has plans to wipe out the churches in the entire Southern Cameroons, because their acts are very provocative, as they want the men of God and their congregations to retaliate so that they can tag and prosecute them once and for all.

Targeting The Christians
Remember on Sunday, uniform men of french origin invaded Churches in Buea and and arrested abducted over 200 Christians to a destination only known by them. This act came a few days after the leadership of the church has called for prayer and fasting through a joined declaration from the National Episcopal Council (Read copy here). In the said declaration the Bishops condemn government oppressive actions against the people and called them to order.
It rather seems as if, coupled to the fact that the government may be regretting for aborting the case against the men of God, they are instead getting more and more angry and now bent on facing the church physically, following what happened at the Mamfe Cathedral today Monday, October 9, 2017.
Targeting The Catechist
Surprisingly, in the early hours of Monday, the police invaded the cathedral premises, where preparations were ongoing for a funeral (probably of one of the persons killed by the government). This time around they came for the abduction of the catechist, but unfortunately, met a concrete wall. On the above image, you can see the priest, mass servants and some christian faithfuls battling with the police over the catechist. The priest had vowed that it would not happen in his presence, and had probably ignored the Biblical verse which says, "...we fight not against the flesh, but against principalities and powers...", but for a good course.
All these happening today in the churches only give us a strong impression that the aborted court case has only taken the course of jungle justice, and no one has to be happy for this.
The church has to rise up as one man, together with their Christians against this barbaric acts because the house of worship is now the only thing we, Southern Cameroonians can turn to for prayers. We have to rise up and call on God to do His job.
God bless Southern Cameroonians.
