Fake Alarm: Muslim Communique Is Fake. Avoid It

Earlier today, October 8, 2017, we received a letter signed by the president of MUSCUDA, a Muslim association, giving Cameroon president Biya an ultimatum to ceasefire and stop the cruelty slammed on Southern Cameroonians within 72 hours, failure of which they will take up knives and clubs in retaliation.

It is unfortunate this information, which we earlier post on our blog under the title, Cameroon Muslims Give Biya 72 Hours To Ceasefire And Stop Genocide Or They Will Take Up Knives And Clubs To Fight Back, might have been consumed by some. After proper investigation on this said letter, we found out that it is 100% fake. Interestingly, we found out that the Cameroon government knows the urgly relationship that exists between muslims and the Western Countries, who have been developing interest and soft spots for our struggle. It should be recalled that we keep getting enormous support from most of the western countries and the government is looking for means to tag us with something they hate, and that thing is Muslims.

La Republique is trying to pray on the vulnerability and characterisation of our Muslim community to paint our struggle differently rather than one fighting against annexation and colonialism which are all crimes against humanity. The struggle is just and history and law is on our side.

We will never allow La Republique to change the tone and pace of our struggle. The tone and pace shall be changed and control by us. Self defense is a right and as people we will activate that but not by the game of La Republique by characterising a certain religion using a western mindset. I therefore, by this present post, call on all to disregard both our last post on this topic and the so called Muslim communique as a La Republique controlled propaganda.

We deeply apologise for this mixup and promise to do better in the days ahead.

We thank the team of Southern Cameroonians ground actors, bloggers and activist for the research and findings. We strongly believe we who are oppressed are in total control of this struggle, which is truly ours. As much as we expect and welcome sympathisers, we expect each and every person to be responsible for his or her utterances. On this note, we expect the president of MUSCUDA to issue a disclaimer to the message with immediate effect, because the message, thougb it condemns cruelty to humanity, it carries threats to human lives, which is completely against our God ordained struggle. We know our Muslim brothers to be peaceful people, and such a message doesn't reflect them.

In the next minutes or hour, we shall be deleting the previous message from our blog or simply tag it as fake, for the attention of the public.
